Bienvenidos ~ Welcome

Indian Trail Spanish Class - Summer 2024

Welcome to Señora Kaiser's Indian Trail Web page.
Hola clase,

Summer Assignment for students entering 8th Grade Spanish:
Students were given a blue or yellow Summer Assignment on cardstock paper.  Students are to complete one row per week beginning on June 10th. This is an assignment meant to keep remembering some of the grammar and vocabulary that we learned in class this school year.

Students can access vocabulary using an app available on IOS devices.  It is called Auténtico. We have completed Para Empezar, 1A, 1B, 2A, and 2B.

Every student is encouraged to study their current vocabulary lists on a regular basis.
¡Hasta luego!

The 6th, 7th and 8th grade students use Auténtico 1 as a textbook resource. The students access the digital program online using Savvas. This link provides students with practice on grammar and vocabulary related to the current chapter.  The 6th and 7th graders will learn to have conversations to introduce themselves, ask about things related to the calendar and weather, talk about likes and dislikes and describe themselves and others. The 8th graders will continue to communicate what they like to do and extend the conversation by asking follow-up questions as well as reacting with relevant comments within a conversation.   Speaking the language is extremely important in learning Spanish.  So I encourage students to speak both in and out of the classroom.

During the school year, parents can help students by reviewing vocabulary with them.   Students can use their Savvas accounts to review with online flashcards.

The textbook program also has a app that can be downloaded to practice vocabulary on a mobile phone.  It is called Auténtico in the App store.  Parents can learn some ESPAÑOL as well!
It's never too late to learn a new language!
