Indian Trail Spanish Class - 2025-2026 School Year

Welcome to Señora Kaiser's Indian Trail Web page.

Parents and Students:

All students can access vocabulary using an app available on IOS devices. It is called Auténtico. All students that have completed one year of Spanish in 2024-2025 have completed chapters: Para Empezar, 1A, 1B, and half of 2A.

Every student is encouraged to study their current vocabulary lists on a regular basis.

I have attached the Summer work assigned for Summer 2025. Students each got a copy, but this is in case a student lost it.

Summer Work for Spanish Class

Information for 2025-2026 School Year:

The 6th, 7th and 8th grade students use Auténtico 1 as a textbook resource. The students access the digital program online using Savvas. The Savvas link provides students with practice on grammar and vocabulary related to the current chapter. The 6th and 7th graders taking Spanish for the first time will learn to have conversations to introduce themselves, ask about things related to the calendar and weather, talk about likes and dislikes and describe themselves and others. The 7th and 8th graders taking their second year of Spanish will continue to communicate what they like to do and extend the conversation by asking follow-up questions as well as reacting with relevant comments within a conversation. Speaking the language is extremely important in learning Spanish. So I encourage students to speak both in and out of the classroom.

During the school year, parents can help students by reviewing vocabulary with them. Students can use their Savvas accounts to review with online flashcards.

The textbook program also has a app that can be downloaded to practice vocabulary on a mobile phone. It is called Auténtico in the App store. Parents can learn some ESPAÑOL as well!
